It’s all about the Bible. Really. This year, rather than teach on a variety of topics, in the form of four to six week series, we are going to use an ancient method of organizing the Bible into weekly readings. The early church came up with this method to help it’s people encounter God’s Word in all of it’s fullness. The early church was primarily illiterate, and those who could read could never have hoped to afford a Bible of their own. The church split the Bible up so that a follower of Jesus would hear almost the entire Bible over the course of three years. What a great solution! Today most of us can read, and most of us have several Bibles. However, we still have a problem with not hearing/reading/listening to the entirety of the Bible.
