More Info

OK, you’ve checked out the rest of our website, or maybe you’ve attended one of our services.  You liked what you saw and who you met, but now you want to know more.  Here are the answers to the two most frequently asked questions that we have received.  When more come in, they’ll be added.

Question #1

“Is Bridges a non-denominational church or are you part of ‘something else’ ”?

Answer

Bridges is proud to be part of the Evangelical Covenant Church.  Being part of a denomination gives us accountability in our actions, partnership in our mission and ministry, resources for our continued growth and connections for our ongoing journey.

You may be excited that we are part of a larger group, or you may have questions and concerns.  Either way, it’s OK.  Please contact Pastor Mark if you want to ask some questions or get more information.  He is used to questions about the Covenant Church, and would love to talk with you.

Question #2

“Your church seems different.  Why don’t you have some of the ‘normal’ church things like Sunday School or Choirs”?

Answer

Yes, Bridges is different.  We are not normal.  There are a lot of things that “Traditional” churches do that we will not be doing.  This is not because we despise traditions or look down on those churches.  It is because God has given us a very specific vision for our church, and we try to follow that.  There are also three core values that we try to live out as we build this church.  To hear a message that fully explains what our vision and values are, check out this sermon.  At Bridges we want to be a church for anyone, but we will not be a church for everyone.  If you like our vision and you like our values, come see if there is a place for you @ Bridges.
